Instructor Development Course – Irvine

Instructor Development Course on Sunday, November 23, at the Orange County Fire Station #6 in Irvine

The course will start at 8:30AM and is expected to last approximately 7-8 hours. Lunch will be provided. There is no charge for this course, but you must download & study before class the course textbook, “Instructor Development – Training the Adult Learner”. This book is available free from the National Ski Patrol web site (nsp.org) in the Instructor Development section under the “Programs” tab. Automatic download is here. Space is limited, so please sign up early.

This course is open to all Southern California Region patrollers. The Instructor Development Course is an elective for the Senior Program and a prerequisite for becoming an instructor in any NSP discipline (Avalanche, Instructor Development, Mountain Travel and Rescue, Outdoor Emergency Care, and Outdoor Emergency Transportation). Please advise Doug (e-mail: dch@cadwest.com) by November 17 if you will be attending the course.
