Instructor Development Course

The Instructor Development Course originally set for October 27 has now been rescheduled for Sunday, November 17, at the Orange County Fire Station #48 in Seal Beach. The course will start at 8:30AM and is expected to last approximately 7-8 hours. Lunch will be provided. There is no charge for this course, but you must download, print & study before class the course book, “Instructor Development – Training the Adult Learner”. This book is available free from the National Ski Patrol web site (nsp.org) in the Instructor Development section under the “Programs” tab. Download is here. Space is limited, so please sign up early.

This course is open to all Southern California Region patrollers. The Instructor Development Course is an elective for the Senior Program and a prerequisite for becoming an instructor in any NSP discipline (Avalanche, Instructor Development, Mountain Travel and Rescue, Outdoor Emergency Care, and Outdoor Emergency Transportation). Please advise me by November 13 if you will be attending the course.

The Orange County Fire Authority Station #48 is located at the 405 freeway and Seal Beach Blvd. at 3131 North Gate Road in Seal Beach.
